Total Beneficiaries of this Scheme in our College is 36 students.
This is a flagship program by the Department of Social Welfare & Women Empowerment of the Tamil Nadu Government to promote higher education among girls belonging to the economically weaker families.
All girl students who studied from Classes 6 to 12 in Government schools are eligible for this scheme. The Government of Tamil Nadu will pay Rs. 1,000/- per month directly into their bank account till the completion of UG, Diploma and ITI courses. The girl students availing other scholarships are also eligible to enrol in this scheme.
Girl Students who are eligible for this scheme shall directly apply through the online portal 'Penkalvi'.
